CO-OP 0004 - GTAIV: The Lost and the Damned & Street Fighter IV

Fulfilling expectations with an expansion nearly the size of some full games, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and the Damned brought Dan Hsu of SoreThumbs over to talk with Ryan and Cesar about their different approaches to the game.
Anyone that's familiar with our work will be resoundingly unsurprised that Street Fighter IV is a somewhat of a big deal around here. We were going to include footage of Ryan's shrine, but you're only allowed to bask in it's presence in the nude. GameSpy's Miguel Lopez grabs a beer and joins Ryan on the balcony to hash out the good and the bad (mostly the good).
As you probably saw with our last post, our first HD camera arrived! This week was our dry run just to see what it would take to shoot and edit in HD. It's certainly more time consuming, but it was a resounding success and we can't wait to put out our content in the best format for showing off every last flaw of our skin and all the micro stains on our clothing (we're messy eaters). That won't be this show, however. The Season 1 premiere will also be the premiere in HD. And the premiere of our new theme song. And intro. And... other stuff I can't reveal until then.

Liked it overall, but at times felt overproduced. Shower scene funny. Jay is hot. that is all.
Just a note to remind you guys to add the two latest CO-OP videos to the CO-OP page on the site. You might also want to find a place on the site to provide links to the Snacks as well, or include them on the CO-OP page.
Enjoyed the new episode, despite it being a bit shorter than normal. The payoff with the dropped frames blanking out the name of the contract and cutting to the shower worked for me.

Ryan, I'm with you. Billy is an asshole. Only half way through the DLC, but looking forward to getting rid of him.
It was an awesome show like always! The ending was funny as hell LOL! I can't wait for the debut of season one ( it gives me chills just thinking about it)!

@Paul ... Thanks for your thoughtful feedback, Paul! Yeah, I agree with that about that particular bit of footage. It's very useful for us to know what works and what doesn't for all y'all since this is an entirely new method of editing for us and it's going to take us some time to work out the kinks! I also agree that the wipe in the GTAIV piece was really well done. Cesar edited that piece and I think he did a bang up job!
Yet another great episode guys. Ended it on a cliff hanger, those are always good and build anticipation!

I don't think I've seen an episode of either the 1UP Show or CO-OP that I have not enjoyed; you guys produce damn good entertainment. You guys were discussing GTA IV's DLC, and wondered if Johnny actually appears in the main story now. The answer is yes. I am currently on my first play-through, and had just the first set of Elizabeta quests. The cinematic introducing the mission was a party, and yes, Johnny made a brief appearance regarding some drug business. You begin the mission shortly after. While driving "Playboy" to his desired location he starts a conversation about "The Lost" and Johnny himself. It's quite funny actually, it's almost as if he is selling the DLC to you saying, "Yeah man, Johnny's doin' some crazy shit! His blowin' shit up and stuff! Crazy..." Then he gives some perspective on "The Lost" and that's about it. So, there you have it.
