THE HOE DOWN 0001 -- INTRODUCING THE HOE

Michael Donahoe: some people love him and some people want to kick him in the nuts.

I've known Michael for a few years--since back in the 1UP days--and I hafta say Michael is full of surprises. Every project we work on together, whether we're going out to film interviews or skits, you never really know what you're going to get or what crazy characters you're going to run into. Sometimes I don't think Michael does either, but I think that's what is going to make The Hoe Down a very interesting show. 

This week The Hoe brings the viewers along to the Resident Evil Launch Party. The Hoe Down Episode 1

Man, that Donahoe. He never fails to crack me up, yet still feel bad for the randoms he pounces upon with Ninja reflex. Ha!

Between this and the Bitmob podcast, those guys sure have stormed the online world! I can't wait to see future installments, which if there is anything that dare call itself a god there will be!

This video partnership between Area 5 and Bitmob is brilliant, and I only hope it leads to further collaboration between the two sites in the future.

Why are all the former 1up editors/workers getting their own sites? Why don't they combine all their content? Jesus!! How many web sites do I have to go to? Most are just lacking in daily content. Don't get me wrong the content is good but why not just recreate a new network or make all sites integrate into each other.

@jokerfish: You don't seem to get business do you? The more sites they have the more individual revenue they can work out. Think about it. If they have one big company they have to share all the money they make across all people involved. If it goes down. They all go down. That's what happened with "1up Show" so to speak. Now they have separate sites and can have their own stuff going on, different people are attracted to different content and so it's not "1up is shit" but "I don't like this particular type of content so I don't go there anymore". That's a huge difference. And what the F+++ are you complaining about free content anyway?

Boohoo "how many websites do I have to go to" ... well I'll tell you: None. If you don't like it. Don't go there. If sitting on your ass in front of a screen, barely moving your wrists is too inconvenient for you ... you definitely got bigger problems anyhow. I can see your point but it's a ridiculous one to make.

I am in no way affiliated with Area5 or any of the other sites .. just saying. I donated money to see the Coop guys get off the ground and I'm amazed at what a take-off that was. I would go to a hundred sites if I had to. It can't all be as nice as Rev3.
